Background of the Groom:
Rilley made his way to West Virginia all the way from Sudbury, Ontario to pursue a degree in civil engineering and chase his dream of being a collegiate baseball player. Rilley was only 17 when he left his hometown to attend school at West Virginia Tech in Beckley, West Virginia.
Background of the Bride:
Brooklyn, who is from the Flat Top area in West Virginia, stayed close to home to pursue her dreams of becoming a nurse and a collegiate volleyball player.
How the Two Met:
August 24, 2021, (which just so happened to be Rilleys birthday) Brooklyn was in Emma and Julias dorm room, Brooklyn received a DM from Rilley Dube. Brooklyns focus was solely on volleyball and nursing at the time, so the DM was simply going to be ignored. There was a lot of convincing from Emma and Julia to at least read the message, and Brooklyn finally agreed to do so. The message read, Brookie then followed with so Ive got all these forks and knives, but Im still looking for a little spoon. As cringy as the messages were, Brooklyn entertained Rilley for the time being and ended up loving the conversations the two of them were having. Later, Rilley asked her on their first date to Chilis and the two instantly hit it off. It was no time before Rilley and Brooklyn started dating and since they have been inseparable.
